Slovania - Undiscovered European Emerald

For me traveling means freedom. I am far from typical main stream traveler. To be honest I am a type of person who dislikes events planned in advance. Isn’t it better to have you own pace and time organized as you wish your-self? No limitations with hotel meals no dress code and strict formality. Being able to go anywhere at any time with anyone is a pure backpacker freedom.

Ljubljana is slowly transforming into “big” European city. The whole city become aware that without special events and proper promotion, there is no way you can attract visitors. Nowadays Ljubljana hosts all kind of different events which will suit every person profile. In this little city there is always something going on. If you like culture, you will enjoy numerous museums, galleries, theaters and opera. If you prefer sport and if you are lucky enough you can visit Stozice where most of the sport events are hosted. If you as a backpacker prefer discovering the city on your own you will definitely find some amazing amenities and nevertheless meet locals who are friendly and always ready to hang out and talk about every possible topic. Such conversations can develop to no friendships and maybe some close ones .

Don’t forget to have a taste of Ljubljana nightlife. There are quite a few clubs where you can party. If you prefer rock music – Orto bar is a place to be. I almost forgot about the local cuisine.
